CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) is one of the many exams taken by students who wish to get into some of the top management colleges in the country. There are more than 55,000 students that annually register to take part in this test. There were around 58,956 who filled the CMAT application form 2022. The registration process requires the students to fill in their data thoroughly, such as providing their permanent address and the names of their parents. After filling out the form and verifying your contact number (essential for receiving OTP), you’ll be taken to another window where you can begin to fill out your application form.
The application form has the following steps that need to be completed before you can head to the payment gateway:
- Contact details
- Personal details
- Apply for & Exam Center Details
- Qualification Details
- Document Upload
- Final Submit
The personal details section will require students to enter their basic details (date of birth, nationality, category, annual family income) and it will also ask whether the student has a benchmark disability (40% or more) if they’re a PwD candidate.
The ‘Apply for & Exam Center Details’ is one of the most important parts of the CMAT 2023 application form. Here you’ll be asked to provide your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th choices for the state and cities you can give your exam.
Your first choice should be the one you can travel to smoothly, and your fourth choice should be one of your less convenient choices but it should be at a travelable distance as well. You will also have to provide your father’s qualifications and occupation as well as your mother’s.
The ‘Qualification Details’ section of your application form requires information about your academic education. You will have to provide details of your results from 10th, 12th, and bachelor’s degree graduation. If you’re still waiting for your graduation, you won’t be asked to provide results in the ‘graduate’ qualification details.
In the ‘Document Upload’ section, you will have to upload scanned copies of your signature and photograph. It’s important to meet the specific requirements for the documents to head to the final submission page.
The photograph needs to be in JPG format with a minimum size of 10 (KB) and a maximum size of 200 (KB). It should be a clear photograph taken against a white background, with at least 80% of your face visible, including your ears. Your picture can be in black and white or color form. The signature should be in JPG format as well with a minimum size of 4 (KB) and a maximum size of 30 (KB).
The ‘Final Submit’ section will show you all of the information that you just input into your CMAT 2023 application form. This is your final chance to review all of the data and make any necessary changes in case any of the information provided had an error. If you need to make any changes, you can click on the specific section using the left-side links.
After verifying your details, click on the ‘submit application form’ at the bottom of the page to finish the process. You will be redirected to your home page where you will see the final step of the application process, which is the fee payment. Before heading towards the payment gateway, you have one final chance to edit your application form in case you’re worried there might be any pending errors.
Students in the general category will have to pay 2000 if they identify as men or 1000 if they identify as women. People who identify as the third gender will have to pay 1000 as well. Other categories such as PwD, OBC, SC, and ST, will have to pay 1000 each.

Fees can be paid through credit card or debit card, net banking through their bank’s portal, and various UPI modes (google pay, Bhim, PayTM). Once you’ve paid your fees, you have completed your CMAT 2023 application form.
